  1. I think more mods would be the best solution. With a hierarchy that el toro is the overall boss and other mods are only mods in certain sections. People could be chosen based on length of membership, posts in that section, activity, and obviously people who actually want to do it.

  2. @El Toro I'm really surprised you've agreed to this post from what is clearly a second account. FFS his avatar name literally means "the darkness or shadow", almost as a warning and obviously not meaning to implicate the actual Shadow. The account has no location and the user has restricted a their public information. If you read that posters previous posts you'll find 95% are side swipes at regular posters, but there is an obvious them to each thread and time frame and one doesnt need to be an it expert to recognise their form. I think all accounts should be credit card or bank or paypal verified and a subscriber to post. This would help prevent second "flame" accounts.
Some simple ip tracking word searching should show you who the actual account holder is.

Two people on the agree emoji list were a given (no names required), all the others are a real shock. You really think I'm mental unstable and having a break down?
Wow my communication is way off.
Very poor form to allow this posters second flame account to remain and a perfect example of why things need to move on with more resources to tackle the small amount of badness that's been allowed to infect the forum.
    @Rob

The words of Edmund Bruke are relevant here.

  4. I half agree and half disagree.
And I couldn't / wouldn't want to be a mod under the current regime.
Any way I'm going mad and wouldn't be considered, but my second account may be along any minute to disagree.

  14. I just checked and see that I've been on here for 5 years. I don't think the flavour of the forum has changed much. It's always had a group of hardcore posters some I'm sure think there wit and style of humour is unique but unless they change there user names occasionally it isn't
I'm still here so I must enjoy it in the main
One area I think should be heavily moderated is the technical threads. People ask for advice. some start to help and then others dive in and discuss irrelevant drivel masking the help and advice being offered
If none members do a Google search looking for answers and find these threads it doesn't show the forum in a good light
Maybe we should give the original poster in Technical threads the power to moderate there own thread and delete irrelevant posts.

  15. Non members googling don't deserve to know shit. Let them join and post dick pics in the newbies section like we all did.

  16. I'm sure you're just having a laugh but on a serious note that's probably how a new member finds the Forum googling for answers to problems.
I doubt it's by googling "Drivel and pointless shit" although that would find us quicker probably

  17. I just Googled 'Drivel and pointless shit' and it found your post :joy: - thanks for bringing the forum into disrepute, it's exactly this kind of behaviour that grows the readership

  19. This guy's good.

We need him in Speakers Corner, he could shake up some of our more staid contributors.

  20. So much for those Californian nerds and their lahdy-dah algorithms!

If they were half as good as they think they are, they would have produced a series of puerile one line posts and emoji-only replies by the wags who hang around here and crayon all over the place like three year olds who’ve overdosed on haribo
