Monster S4/r, Multistrada 1000ds /1100 Or Tuono Gen1 Or 2? ...your Help Wanted

  1. If you like a Ducati for its feel, character and general characteristics, the others dont even come into it.

Multi can cruise at 100 mph no problem, can be ridden like a SM with wheelies off the throttle in 1-3 gears, or tour. I found the seat position gave me a lot of back ache, bit too upright, and if I kept it I would have played with bar position

You'll be lucky to find an S4R for similar money..

  2. Even got room on board for you guide dog too ;)

  3. You can't see it when you're riding it. If you prefer riding to polishing it's the best bike.

  4. Train the dog to do that for you :)

  5. I'm too damn stubborn for my own good and know what I like, I'll stick with the bikes and ride 'em when there's less pain :) ....TBH, The Renault is also too slow as a car, let alone a bike compared to my individual preferences. Looks different enough though doesn't it, especially if you want an electric car, although I'm not positive about it (pun intended). Doors are an option if you want to use it all year round

  6. The budget can stretch to it, but my other half is wanting loads done to the house, and £100k doesn't get much compared to what we want done! :)

  7. Good advice, thanks.

I prefer a cold Guinness when discussing bar position :)

  8. I have a Monster S4R which I find just about right in terms of bars/seat/footrests, but I am only 5' 9". The small flyscreen doesn't offer much protection at silly speeds, which would probably be worse given your height. The power, handling and looks I absolutely love, much the same character as my old 900ss just more so!

  9. That's a serious consideration for my lanky frame, when doing 3 figure speeds (where legally allowed officer), so I may regrettably remove that from my wish list, and I love it for same reasons as you do! :)

  10. That looks great, but I need to save my money towards getting our house done up. Wish you well selling it.

Have you tried other sites other than fleabay? ...MCN, Bike Trader - etc?

  11. Getting quite a bit of interest from ebay so will see how it goes , you just have to deal with idiots wanting to swap for skidoos and quads and the likes , i have always done quite well with ebay in the past ..... if the bikes right and the right price there will be someone genuine out there for it .

  12. I wish you the very best of luck with it and hope it finds a good home.

  13. Took v4 Tuono out for test ride. Loved the engine/quickshifter/ergonomics. Thought suspension was too firm for road use. Petrol! Did I mention petrol? Lots of it...and fuel consumption would have got worse with the folks I ride with.
S1r was better in every way except character (for me).

  14. Fuel consumption on Aprilias were never their strong points :)
