Have to agree, with the rest, 916 all the way, I love them so much I bought three! After a year now, the missus still doesn't know I've bought a third, let alone a fourth from cranker.... classic design, beautiful timeless looks.

I'm very surrised at how many people have said the D16RR. I like to look at it for what it is, that's what excites me about it. But beautiful....................hmmmmmmm ?
There are parts that are not nice for sure, but the face, the way that the air intake joins the lights and the overall shape of the belly pan right down to almost 'hugging' the rear wheel, yeah I am a fan! You can't argue it as the prettiest though, there are parts that are there for function, but the 916 was just a kids dream bike shape, it just completely changed everyone's expectation of beauty, and set the bar pretty high.
Yeah the D16RR is great from som angles ant not so good from others. The same with my Streetfihter. I think it looks the dog's danglies sometimes, but catch a glimpse of the headlight from certain angles and it's challenging. I guess I'm probably a bit picky. I'd probably look at Keira Knightley and think her nose was a bit wonky
To get this going again.... I think this is cool, I guess an old race bike looking at the tank etc.: This is very, very cute: But for those who like a bit more colour there's this beauty:
