Just watched the moto2 race. How on earth does Sam Lowes stay in the MotoGP paddock it’s painful to watch.
But back in the day we'd have been sat up waiting for him to find a way past. Like he almost always did with his incredible race craft. On Sunday Dovi held him off quite comfortably.
Dovi has finally got up to speed thanks to the battles with Marcus over the past few years, and you should know better as Ducati's are notoriously hard to past on the straights. Rossi had a well & truly crap year on that Yamaha,i'd like to see him retire on a positive note next year.
The Yams turn much better though by all accounts. That's where Rossi used to do the business, in the turns. And err, what was MV riding on Sunday?
Another unforced mistake, and after his frankly dangerous behaviour at the last round, have lost faith in him I'm afraid
It's been a very humbling year for Rossi and Lorenzo , obviously for different reasons. The changing of the guard has already taken place, and trying to catch up with them now would appear one hill too many to climb. It's always nice to see such talented riders bow out on a high but in this case it's not going to happen.
Sadly, I think you are right. Now that we are firmly in the Marquez era, we can only look for candidates that might take him on and win races. It seems that Quateraro is up for a fight, has the talent and the bike (mainly) to do that. Lorenzo, on the right bike (which the Honda is not for him) could take it to Marquez as long as his rhythm is not disturbed. Rossi, in spite of setting the outright lap record at Sepang yesterday, can no longer do it on a consistent basis. Vinales has pace, but appears quite track and set up sensitive and is not really proven in a dog fight. Dovi seems to be fading as all that aero negates their power advantage, some bright stars like Mir, Rins and Bagnia have potential ... All these riders will be taking points from each other as one package works on one track and another on a different circuit, so although we will probably see more different race winners next season, it's another title for Marquez in 2020.
Unfortunately Rossi has shown why 40yr old greats can’t beat greats in their 20’s. He just can’t take the pace and does t do those do-or-die combed he once did. Time for him to hang up his race leathers, and find some other way to be involved in racing imho.
Why does Zarco always look so fuckin miserable, he is living the dream and Marques was blitzing him, racing incident door left open Mir went for it, no different than MM on Crutchlow last week but Crutchlow stopped on Zarco fell off.
gotta admit he's a bit odd old zarco but he is a great rider... i agree, it was pretty much a racing incident by mir but it still took him out from a good ride and only 4 laps to go so you gotta feel for the guy... well, you dont HAVE to, but i was gutted for him...
Odd yes, talented yes and deserves a motogp ride, can see him in Repsol colours on a 1 year contract, after all who else could Honda get at short notice ?
As @bradders had said many times MM really does not give a fuck about any other racers, he is only programmed to win no matter what. Think Miller will have words with Rin's as they had a spat in qualifying, just remembered when Lorenzo (i think) moaned about Marco and Marco replied "what you going to do call the police" classic.
he said "ok. i will be arrest" .. i had the sticker on my van... brilliant press conference that!! loz looked like a right twat... funny as fuck!!! braders is 100% bout mm for sure
