The guy made cardboard templates then hand fabricated the fairings. It's amazing craftsmanship. He also came all the way from Germany without any leathers so is wearing mine underneath the overalls. He's much bigger than me so I expect he's really uncomfortable!
Here in Petworth (10 miles North of Goodwood) it is windy, but dry and warm. Yesterday it rained all day turning the car park fields into gravy. Hopefully tomorrow, Sunday, it will be drier…...
Looks like all the bike runs are still going ahead tomorrow. Not sure how we are going to get it all set up again before the public arrive tomorrow but I'm sure we will manage something.
I am sure we must have seen each other at some point and not realised. The front sprocket exploded when I was standing next to it. It also damaged the engine casing. They used a tyre starter and the owner normally uses rollers, so he attributed the damage to that. The owner is French and said " I think you say in English, shit happens". The Ducati was dropped on the gravel outside Goodwood house due to the cold carbon brakes.
