  9. A statement from the FIM reads:

"Following the events that occurred at the Malaysian Grand Prix and further developments over the following week and given the exceptional circumstances, the Permanent Bureau of the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship, comprising Messrs Vito Ippolito, FIM President, and Carmelo Ezpeleta, Chief Executive Officer of Dorna Sports, will summon all MotoGP™ riders and their respective team managers to address the situation on Thursday 5th November at 15.30 Local Time.

Given these circumstances, the pre-event press conference scheduled at 17.00 will be cancelled.

  10. Possibly a meeting to ensure all riders will make way for Rossi at Valencia? As rossi will be starting from the rear, all GP bikes must be fitted with wing mirrors thus enabling the rider to allow Rossi safely past. If Rossi feels you are spoiling his ride and possibly putting his tenth title in jeopardy then one must dispose of ones self in the nearest cat litter.
This is Rossi's day and we would be obliged if other riders and teams would not spoil it.

  11. Presumably the main players in all this will turn up to the meeting accompanied by their top legal advisers, if they have any sense. If the FIM and Dorna try to exclude legal advisers from the meeting, further litigation about that becomes inevitable.

  12. I cannot see how anyone can be told to keep his mouth shut. What legal power could the FIM or Dorna have to gag anybody? The contracts between the riders and Honda/Yamaha no doubt have clauses restricting riders from bad-mouthing their own team, but apart from that ...

  13. I suspect that the FIM and Dorna have dug themselves a hole, and they are still digging.

  14. All this shite will go straight out the window on Sunday when the lights go out... And I can't wait. It's gotta be the most anticipated race in years! And I think Rossi will need a good chunk of luck to win the championship. MM, JL & DP all have the measure of him at the moment.
