I think it was more “operator error”. Per Andy’s post, I whacked my knee down for a laugh. As it made contact so did one of the peds frame lugs and I span off with all rotational weight going through the knee. So it was more me than the leathers and I only wear airbag equipment on proper tracks. The point of my post was more he total lack of protection any under garment offers.
I’m not sure whether this story is true as it was relayed to me on a track day. Apparently this chaps mate had come off his bike at high speed 100+ wearing textiles parts of which ended up melting to his skin. Maybe a Cotton based layer under your leathers as clearly synthetic at temperature aren’t that good? We’re getting way off thread here…….
