Motolegend; Who Is Their Target Customer?

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by RC1, Feb 26, 2022.

  1. I’ve brought a few bits using their price beat challenge and saved a few quid. I’ve even managed to do that with some of their sale items.
Have to say, They need a few other people to do their videos. He doesn’t half waffle on.

  2. He gave a presentation to our area social group so I can concur. Andy

  3. They've had enough money from me over the years. I shall be taking this up with Chris when I'm next in there.

  4. Excellent kit and service, but what really pisses me off is that they only ever compare their kit as if it's the only kit available. If you know what you're doing, there is even better kit out there for less money. And I hate having to pay for good service - every vendor should be doing that anyway.

  5. "Area social group"....aye aye, is that code for something saucy?

  6. IAM RS affiliated advanced motorcyclists club and there is nothing saucy about that, believe me :joy: Andy

  7. I was initially sceptical, especially when they only seemed to cater to the hipster type of rider. However I've bought a few things from them and have been impressed.

I was looking at a vented jacket and couldn't make my mind up about the Rukka or Klim ones. They told me to go out for a ride with each of them in turn to see which I preferred. Ideal as I picked the one I found most comfortable (Klim) and then they price matched. I've also used the mail-order service and I got a pair of single layer Rokker jeans at a knock down price in their special Sunday morning flash sale (sign up for email alerts).

They also replaced a Scott waterproof with a larger size, 6 months after I bought it, when after I used it for the first time in Scotland I found it was just too tight over my jacket.

Yes the videos can be a bit long, Chris has a certain style and some prejudice about the kit he recommends, but I get the impression he really knows what he's talking about and TBH I don't mind a bit more detail. It's not the sort of shop to go and sort through the bargain bins, if you want that then go to the NEC show.

  8. Hand up, I have shopped at Motolegends 2 times now. The latest visit was initially for a pair of Skivees but like all good engineers, I fell for a shiny, brass, analogue tyre pressure gauge :D 5 weeks on, the needle fell off my shiny, brass, analogue tyre pressure gauge :( I spoke to Megan at Motolegends a couple of days ago who asked me to send a picture of the poorly gauge. Fast forward, Megan phoned me today and the importer will replace the gauge which will be posted to me, probably tomorrow :D hoorah ! Well done Motolegends customer service :upyeah: Andy

  9. Having met the owners at a track day recently, I would say they care a lot about their business, customers and reputation in a way that is perhaps lacking with other firms.
