  1. Sounds good but does it actually erase the memory? i.e. could it be retrieved with the right tech?

  2. I suppose police could retrieve if they wanted to, but would they go to all that bother doing that for a simple speeding violation ?

  3. Yes, starts on trigger from aux supply. Also can stay on, and warn if run into by other vehicle.

  4. He’s done a follow up video on the van true.

  5. Good job NBB. Very tempted, having just been reversed into and knocked off my bike. Certainly good value and some impressive features.

  6. Now purchased !!

  7. Vantrue Falcon F1 front and rear dash camera kit now all fitted on my 2016 Multi 1200S. I will say I'm extremely impressed. Fitting it was an absolute doddle. The main WiFi unit fits really well under the riders seat just in front of the battery. I fitted the control pad on the top of the headstock behind the handlebar mount. Fitted the front 4k camera under the beak right at the front and the rear 1k camera under the rear grab rail. Really discrete. I took the +12v and earth straight off the battery and soldered the only other wire, the Aux +12v, into the already fitted SatNav connector in the loom just to the left of the tank adjacent to the fuel pump. I'm not using a satnav so that worked well. All the wires were easily run through the bike by taking the black fuel tank side covers and side panels off so that I could access and piggy back the existing wiring loom runs along the frame and under the sides of the tank. All the Vantrue looms are Ducati spec black so they blend in and are indistinguishable over the bike's wiring. The unit powers up and auto records from ignition on plus it stays in standby mode if the bike is stationary with the ignition off and some scrote comes along and knocks the bike or tries to have it away. It'll discretely auto record front and rear to capture the details of who or what hit you while you're away from the bike and then go back to standby. The G sensor is adjustable from the Vantrue phone app. In fact I was able to tailor a hell of a lot of settings. Recording is in 1 minute mp4 files which continually over write the oldest files. I used the biggest 512GB Vantrue micro SD card I could buy. That's about 4 hours of recording. You can turn off any markers of the recording like date, speed, grid location etc. And yes, pressing the manual recording button on the controller for 10 seconds will reformat the SD card. The quality of the pics is incredible and the low light 'night mode' is pretty good too. It's given me a reduction off my insurance too. Will see how it pans out. Rgds. Rich.

  8. Lots of positives but I’m curious if anyone has fitted the F1 (or any other dash cam) to a Multistrada V4. Given the V4’s propensity to suck all the muck and shite off the road and deposit it all over the rear of the bike, I’m wondering just how effective the rear facing camera is actually going to be, as I suspect the lens will be obscured within minutes on a wet road. Any feed back ? Andy

  9. Yeah, put it on the front;)
