You have Taken 3 out this week, Night at the Museum 3 wasn't to bad a bit the same as the first two films but still good to watch. Hobbit 3, great epic battles and visual's. So you can see any film as long as it ends in 3
Seen the hobbit, I quite fancy Night at the Museum, seen the other two, quite fancy lady in black but me mate she hates horrors, then I thought something more intellectual like Padington.
Theory of everything and Birdman despite the great review we had here. It is a great movie I liked it, 8.7 on IMDB so they liked it, Rottentomatoes of 92% so they loved it.....
Watched the Equalizer reboot with Denzil "monotone" Washington. If you want an action film for lazy viewing, it was surprisingly good.
Frankly a movie about a man that drops his fame, well paid but pointless job to do what he likes, to be more creative. That move eventually drives him mad and possibly to commit suicide (never shown but from context you know). That is not an action movie so I can get why some would not like it. It's a heavier movie like theory of everything so do not go to see that. Even American sniper is half way in-between action and psychological type of movie affair.
I get all that about the actor reinventing himself, my objection is to the terrible acting, bad writing, turgid plot and total inability to engage the audience. The story of the actor and the behind the scenes at the theatre appeal only to those in the cosy arty world of the actor, not to the rest of us. If Michael Keaton wants to reinvent himself then go out and actually do it on stage, if he just wants to have a wank don't ask me to pay £12 and give up over 2 hours of my life to watch it.
Go see Unbroken based on a true story from WW2 in a POW camp in Japan, don't know how someone could forgive when they have been through so much,
In Bruges.... Currently running on Film4 Wicked black comedy or drama? Like Father Ted, but as a hit man double....directed by Tarantino... It's not, but you'd think it was?
