Top races. All kudos to Danny Kent as the race was a total lottery with draughting meaning that anyone could win, so to get 2nd was well planned. Happy Aegeter got 2nd in Moto2, a pity about Luthi, but I reckon that Rabat was a smidgeon above either. As for Moto GP. That Jorge would walk it was a foregone conclusion after qualifying so for Crazy Joe to hang on to 2nd was excellent. All praise to Rossi. Pity about Dovi. This is the best Moto GP season we have had in years, now that the Spaniards don't win everything, the Ducatis are competitive and Rossi is back to his old self. I'm loving it.™
Would have rather seen Lorenzo fall instead of Marquez. To bad about Dovi , could have been a double Duc podium.
Left Mugello Monday, what a great race and atmosphere. I hate to say it but when MM crashed out the whole place was cheering and clapping and not much applause for Lorenzo on the podium. Mrs road trip has some photos and short iPhone videos I will see I can get them loaded up. To see all the bikes full on down the pit straight was great :Cigar:
So envious of you! Mugello is top of our list for next years trackdays. We already booked Almeria for later this year but I'm kind of kicking myself for not doing Mugello to be honest.
there is a clip of VR 'crashing' and you can see he pretty much keeps the throttle pinned until it comes back into line. Lesson there somewhere...
We did Mugello a few years back now. Did a bit of a Europe tour en route, made it all the way and it pee'd it down. Ended up staying in the house and watched it in the hot tub on the telly. Didn't matter to us, the journey was incredible.
