Yes good shout. So bennetts so far have quoted 315 for a 748r, 749s and 916s. Mileage caps of 1k each and 5 years ncb
I've added a £12k bike to a classic policy and only got charged £25 admin fee, but second year it rose significantly.
Ask them how much extra it would cost to increase the mileage to 2000? You might be surprised to find its almost nothing.
When I've done Agreed Value policies, I've had to show photos of the additional items eg wheels exhaust shocks etc. Its a must to keep a photocopy of the application so you can resend it with a new date the following year to avoid rewriting all the details again.
Footman James sting me £354.33 for 900sl & 916sps (that isn't even on road!) They are also probably fairly undervalued at £18.5k for pair. I have agreed values, salvage retention & roadside recovery. But only 3k miles over the pair for year. Think it's time for a shop around this September.
My public liability for work jumped over 100% last year and they no longer provide indemnity insurance in package. Problem with insurance is you never know how good it is till everything goes tits up.
No and in fairness i should have noticed that there is another similar thread. can my thread be merged into the older one if that helps?
I use Bemoto for four road bikes and a bunch of track bikes. What I like about them is, you talk to a human who clearly understands what I have and how I use it. Age, classic or modern, road or track, fully comp or theft only, agreed mileage. From memory, that lot comes out at less than a grand with a 750 excess on each. Most importantly though, insurance has a price, but you only know what you have bought when you claim. That claim handling experience really matters.
so only 2 of mine are eligible for classic and if i opt for that the premium shoots up to over 500 because they are need to be agreed val not market val on to bemoto now... and im supposed to be on holiday in sunny southwold innit
