Discussion in 'Ducati Spotted' started by Multi rider, May 12, 2012.

  1. Pikes spotted parked up next to a load of BMW 1200 tractors in MacDonalds car park, Bramley, Rotherham I think it was the IAM meet for a rideout. It looked well at the side of those tractors nice one

  2. Small world!

    "Ahhh....there's a Multistrada..."

Finally got to meet CaroleB of multistrada.net fame (infamy? lol) - she spotted my arriving at the Ace Cafe on a charity ride last Sunday - photos here:

  4. Saw a red old school Mutley go through Kirby Bellars this morning then passed it on the B6047 just north of the A47 intersection at 13:46. I was 2 up with hi viz shoulders and on my red MTS 1200 with nudge bars.

  5. Spotted a white mutley on the road between Pinewood studios and black park on Sunday afternoon whilst walking the dog there....Well heard it before i saw it...nice!:upyeah:

  6. Passing through Biggleswade monday night on the way home from work spotted a brand new Pikes Peaks out side a pub, looked fantastic and had all his mates looking at it.
Looked like a bike meet their but couldnt stop....in the car though.
Nearly knocked the idiot over who stepped out into the road taking photos though..sorry if you are the owner though....you nearly came home for dinner with me.
Hope you enjoy the bike whoever you are

  7. Banjo that was mine ! and yes it was a bike meet. 5Counties Motorcycle Club we meet up at various pubs on a Monday night. The photographer was our Chairman and he gets carried away with taking pictures ! Not the first time he has nearly been run down
Look us up on the web if you fancy coming along ? I tend to make most Mondays and now the weather has started to turn there will be more bikes out.
And yes I am absolutely loving the bike :upyeah:

  8. Think i've been once or twice a couple of years back after speaking to a chap on a BMW at the Ace Cafe.Remember him as his bike was lime green, told me to check out the web site.
Went all the way to the other side of Baldock, meet two great guys one on a tuono and one on a 1050 tiger who were very welcoming.
Put off though by a chain smoking loud mouth with big ears who said he was on the committe who was very rude so not been back.Suprising how you can always remember rude people.
Perhaps i was a bit hasty as i'm sure their must be plenty of top people as well.

  9. Funny enough I know who you mean and he is no longer with the club. There have been a few changes over the last year but all in all it's a good club ! If you fancy popping along some time it would be good to see you :upyeah:

  10. West bay lunchtime today, red 11 plate? Very nice.

  11. Two pikes peaks parked together opposite the Black Swan, Helmsley, North Yorks, Bank Holiday Monday, 1st, early afternoon.

  12. "Helmsley TT" :upyeah:

edit: not me but would love to get back up there some time.

  13. 2013 Pikes Peak Poole Quay today around 3.30pm and on Tuesday night at the quay.Parked right next to my lowly 2012 abs today :D

  14. Spotted Red 12 plate Multi with Givi topbox two mornings in a row commuting into Hull. Looks like it's being used for daily transport as a bit mucky! Respect.

  16. Spotted 4 Multleys in 7 mins yesterday afternoon. One south bound on A11 just off Thickthorn roundabout (red one). Another red one on A140, followed 2 mins later by a white one. Several hours later after leavings mates house there's yet another red one parked on a drive round the corner from his house. They're getting too common

  17. Poole Quay this evening

Red 11 plate sport with top box

Black 11 plate sport with top box, was chatting to you for a while about your arrow exhaust

  18. Just done 2067 miles from Gloucester - Land's End - John O'Groats - Gloucester and the only one I spotted was a red 1000 at Kinlochewe petrol station. Was it you? Was nice chatting with you.

  19. OK...Out in the South of Surrey and Sussex on Sunday.

Red 1200S with a rusty chain at Newlands corner, about 11:15.
What a lot of noise with all those scooters leaving :0)
Tried to look for you, but couldnt see anyone who looked like a strada rider

Red 1200S heading to Ripley from Ockham about 11:00, passed by at a rate of knots.

Red 1200S heading to Boxhill area from Dorking late afternoon....couldn't catch me

  20. In Hawes this afternoon, 2 PP's: 1 2011, 1 2013 model, a white i didn't see the plate of, a black on a 60 plate passing by us, while waiting for the fish ( i think they had to go an catch them for every order today), then also in front of the Chippy was a red '11 Touring.
A bit later, i noticed another red disappeared out of the opposite end of the town.

On the way there, i had a scary moment of a knob-head in a blue Rover coming towards me, decided to make a right turn, just yards in front of me. FCUK, BRAKE!! Anyway, another Multi was riding just behind me, not sure if it was a PP or a red "with bling" - but i think he got a little surprise too, but was then overtaking all of our group. Saw the back of him again in Ingleton, as we fuelled.

Anyhow, what a lovely weather! The joy of the bike totally over shines situations like that, and i am solo pleased with it - done about 1250 miles since i got it, 3 weeks ago. I luuuv it!

Got home at 4:30, temp showing 23 as we took the Simister Island on M60, now sitting and looking over the hills, not a cloud on the sky, and writing this. Wonderful!
Hope it'll be like this at next bank holiday - Black Forest, her we come!
If i'm lucky, it will be the Scottish coast later in the summer, i can just eat those miles like it was cereals now :)
