  1. Maybe folk are realising that the Pikes Peak is the better all round bike after all.

  3. Part of me wants to say I’m not surprised. Although only 7 miles, it’s a used bike. My take on the eBay listing is the bike was delivered, registered and PDI’d and for whatever reason, the buyer walked away. Andy

  4. yup second hand and only a grand under list - but surprised its still there

  5. Apart from the Cobb & Jagger 2nd hand bike, nothing for sale on eBay, only listings for ‘order now’. Not sure I’m surprised or not that there hasn’t been a slew of speculators trying to profit from their purchase  Andy

  6. They also have two PP in stock which are also cancelled orders

  7. Funny how dealers always say the minute you take a bike out the showroom you instantly lose the 20% VAT, clearly difference between buying and selling.

if I was spending £32k on a Ducati I’d want a gold plaque, signed by Claudio Domenicali and delivered by 2 topless girls from hooters…

  9. That goes for anyone buying the new iteration of whatever model that may be. The addiction or insanity for change must be justified.

  10. Interest rates starting to bite maybe?

  11. £40k on a bike that isn’t even a limited edition?
More money than sense or maybe he didn’t have the money after all?

  12. Word on the street was they were limited to 500……at least that’s what (some) customers were told.

Then last week on Facebook someone posted that theirs was numbered #567. So much for exclusivity.

  13. Or possibly the insurance costs?

Three friends chopped their Pikes Peaks in for the RS………..Their insurance premiums went from an average of £400pa to £1300pa.

  15. And I suspect the numbered plaques are all in a bin like the 748R plaques so the number that gets picked for your bike bears no relation to when it was made. Andy

  16. I know that now, but it’s not what my 3 friends were told. Unless the chose to hear that they were limited? :bucktooth:

  17. While people rush out to buy these numbered or limited bikes, then Ducati will continue to build them.
The profit margin in a V4RS must be double that of a standard V4S.

  18. That's probably what they told their wives to justify the astronomical price!

  19. Nah, just told her it was around £10k :)
