Multistrada 1200 Newbie Question

Discussion in 'Newbies Hangout' started by Yelow, Sep 14, 2018.

  1. I think I remember paying quite a bit less for a second hand from an inmate on here (happened to find him on eBay though).

They are rare now though so you may need to buy new.

  2. Hello peeps, i have one worry, multistrada 1200 10' is it normal that everytime i open throttle mirrors and dashboard are shaking quite a bit, is it what you call rough engine?

  3. Drop it down a gear?

  4. im not talking about sportive driving just cassual driving if i go 3k rpm and put some gas its still shaky

  5. Drop it round to me at Heathrow.... I'll tell you if it's normal or not.

  6. Err they all do that, have you come from a 4 cylinder inline bike?
Even after mapping mine its still a bit vibey at lower RPMs but that is the Character of these.

  7. I was driving 14' 1200gs for a while it was way smoother

  8. Yes that's the German way of building anything, devoid of any flaws or Character. You on the other hand have decided to buy something that has.Well done. Like me you have the first generation single spark plug model and they have moved on a way since, the latest 1260 DVT models are extremely nice to ride......so I am told but not have myself.
