    Until this happened

Plate and screws holding together a fracture of lower fibula.

It is what it is. Hands up, my error, was an overtake followed by a corner. Target fixation on sandy gravelled track that led straight-on up steep hill, rather than through corner of about 30°, well surfaced, with good viability. Reflex idiotic heavy braking rather than tipping into the corner... Brain fart bad call on my part. Bike dug into soft surface and went end over end spitting me over the bars and taking the upper fairing and instruments with me. It's likely to remain in France as a write off I reckon.

The two guys with me did a steala support job in sorting recovery and even instigating insurance claim. Kudos to @Sam1199 and Ian, not sure if you're on here mate. I owe you both a debt of gratitude.

    Fly back on Monday.
