  1. My 2nd puncture on M11 1 hour 20 minutes after leaving the tyre fitter who put a brand new MPR3 on. Grrrrrrrr. Then found out my breakdown cover was only from my house upto a radius of 10 miles. Needless to say I was 100 miles over that. So had to pay there and then for recovery off the M11 on a Monday Bank Holiday where every tyre place was shut. HTC pics 017.jpg

  3. Could you not mend the puncture with the kit with the bike to get you home or to a garage ? I was interested to see if it works or you just did not want to use it ??

  4. I sat on the hard shoulder of the M11 for 20 minutes checking my 111 mile old rear MPR3. Couldn't find anything wrong with it at all; no hole, heat bulge, object sticking out etc etc. Always carry a tyre plug kit with me where ever I go so was very miffed I couldn't find a hole to plug (cue smut).
When I got recovered to a mates house we again both checked the tyre and only found the leak when we pumped it up using a cycle track pump!. No idea what caused the flat and the microscopic hole the air was squeezing out of. When tyre was replaced no object was found on the inside either; odd. Valve was fine too.
That was a very expensive trip out.

  5. I feel your pain, I have however used Puncture seal for over fifteen years in all my bikes and cars since having three punctures in as many months on my Blackbird, (In November, very quiet Christmas that year). Once in its a fit and forget product.

People have mixed views of this stuff from it damages alloy rims, tyre fitters dont like it and wont change your rubber to just hobsons choice in that they wont use it.

I can honestly say that as its are Z rated for our style of tyres I have had no trouble with it, I always give my tyres a check over for puncture marks or nails etc and as always keep a check on tyre pressures. Tyre fitters never complain as its not as gooey as 'slime' or other products, I have just put it into my new Mutly took ten minutes and protected straight away.

Hope this insight helps as I hate to see guys trips ruined by a puncture, take a look. Home | Tyre Sealant from Punctureseal - Home page

(p.s. I am not on commission, just a keen believer in uninterupted riding)

My Mutly, sunshine in Yorkshire helps

  7. I took off the stock POS screen too, put on the short PP Carbon Fiber one, works much better. Got a large Cee Bailie's for riding in really bad weather, only takes a min to change.

  8. My mutli today

May have been a little aggressive with the throttle

  10. Bloody hell!......on the road not a track day?? Tyre pressure right?.........impressive to see such FULL use of the tyre - I get nowhere near!

  11. lol no trackday. On road I use all the tyre but not like that ;)

1st session, went out 36psi cold, came in 48 hot! So took back to 42 hot and seemed to work OK. But bear in mind this was sometimes flat throttle at foot crisping angles

  13. I was sodding about with the bike and kit preparing for my 2 week trip around Europe. Making sure everything packed away ok and that it was easy enough to setup tent and the tarp in case of a downpour.

I got some funny looks from the neighbors...
