Finally got round to posting a few pics from Europe this year, headed for the Grossglockner, down thru the Dolomites and over the Stelvio & Fluelapass, over 2000 miles door to door, fantastic weather, grinning all the way!
Did the same route in June of this year... It was awesome, 3000 miles in total. Done Austria before, first time in the Italian Dolomites what a surprise... Stunning !!!
Not so much what it is but where it was! I spotted the Ducati logo on the clutch cover as our coach drove into the hotel car park in Puno, Peru! I didn't want to fully unwrap the the bike for a better photo. I was a bit surprised to say the least. Just checked, there is a Ducat dealer in Peru, just the one, in Lima over 1,300 km / 19 hours away. There is a closer one in Bolivia which is only 1,100 km /16 hours away which could be a better ride as it's through the Andes mountains rather than mostly along coastal desert.
Very famous place in the Dales and seemingly where we all take our pics! This Sunday - 2nd ride of it
Before and after shots, just got to get the dealer to upload the map. Sounds nice too. Took me 2.5 hours to fit
I passed that viaduct in the Dales a couple of weeks ago while playing on the bouncy single track and smaller roads chasing my mate on a KTM 1190R and must be the only person who didn't stop for a photo Couple of pics while I was up in Scotland Loch Awe Oban in the sunshine Crossing the border back home on the way up After a couple hundred miles on the Dales roads covered in assorted mud and animal shit
