That right angle piece should a small piece of double sided foam, this goes on the inside of the right angle. The right angle then goes on the upper edge of the squarish hole in the windscreen adjuster. The pinch bolt then goes through the main body and strikes the outside of the right angle piece. Fingers crossed this makes sense
Can't get a pic up I'm afraid, my bikes in Riders, but if you do a search on here there is deffo a thread on the Navihalter with the appropriate picture. The sticky foam is to hold that r/angle metal in place to allow you to screw the pinch bolt in.
Sorted, I had to tape the little metal bit to the screen mount then slip it on and tighten the Allen bolt, nice and robust and my ageing tomtom rider power mount bolts straight to it. Heaps better than the ram mount fitted by the dealer, but I can’t take the ball off for the minute as I dint have the original handlebar bolt and it’s not in the bag of bits.
Don't count your chickens yet BA, have you ridden with it yet, mine a bounces like a nodding dog you used to get in rear windows of cars years ago
No I have not ridden it yet, if the weather forecasters are correct then either this weekend or early next week I will have a trip out and see how it goes.
When the screen is in the lower position it seems ok, but when it’s in the upper position it wobbles unless your making “ progress” on a smooth road. Here has to be a way to get this frame stiffer somehow, I will investigate during the week.
Let me know if you crack it BA. There's not many smooth roads left around here now to make progress on I've probably made mine even worse by fitting the locking attachment. For me to be able to use the key, I had to space it out away from the screen otherwise you couldn't get the key in
If you know how to get the panel above the headlight off let me know, I reckon there has to be somewhere down there to brace the screen mount as it all moves. I can’t even get the two black bits off either sideman of the emergency ignition thingy.
hi i have just put up in multistrada section (which i think may be in wrong bit) a navihalter bnib never fitted so brand new any use to you? was 103.10 delivered.how would 70 plus postage sound? if interested let me know
I managed to purchase one two weeks ago thanks, great bit of kit bit I want to somehow stop the last little bit of vibration the screen gives me.
ok mate sorry should have read full thread. did read that they used the screen mounting hole and put a rubber o ring in...think on the centre hole on screen to stop vibration lol
