I've found dual compound tyres are obviously based, in terms of their wear durability, at a specific type of rider. A certain amount of upright mileage combined with some cornering. Being a purely recreational rider I head for the curves whenever I can and usually wear the sides out first, especially on the front. Though since I've had the Multistrada that seems to be less of an issue. Maybe I rode my MV more aggressively? The Corsa II might be worth trying, without any real world feedback though it would be a case of me trying a set. What I wouldn't want is to set off on a tour not knowing if the tyres would make the full distance.
