Multistrada V Guzzi Stelvio

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by PerryL, Apr 25, 2020.

  1. I test drove the KTM and the Multistrada, I found the KTM a bit rough compared to the Ducati, I bought the last of the 1200s DVT

  2. I must admit that I'm a bit pissed off with mine breaking out with some rust, just over two years old, the subframe under the seat, around the rear deflector and the rear shock spring is the latest casualty.
I do ride all year round but would expect better than this

  3. I think that this shows me that I can't make a decision "remotely". When the lockdown stops, I need to get my Ducatis sorted out and back on the road and I need to get my eyesight OKed - I need to be riding! Then I can start visiting dealers.

Also, I should think about part-ex and getting rid of one of the Ducatis as I don't need to have so many bikes (or maybe I do!).

So after all of that faffing about, I am still in the same place! Guzzi V85 TT Travel, Multistrada, KTM, or BMW (added by me just to complicate things!).

  4. Good thing is that I have dealers in Bristol - and they all have coffee shops - apart from Dick Lovett for the BMW. I think that they are a bit posh!

  5. Ooh... going to check mine now. Got any pics... that doesn't sound great. Are you using ACF or similar for the winter months?

  6. I do use ACF after I wash it, the spring on my 999 is rusty but it is 16 years old, I don't expect rust after two
