V4 Multistrada V4rs

  1. American point of view, with some more details...

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  2. Significant point to pick up on, a smaller pistoned rear brake master cylinder and a ‘regressive’ brake pedal. Have asked the question about transfer to the Pikes Peak but the workshop needs to have a bike to get their hands on before coming to a conclusion. One small concern about the titanium rear subframe, is it strong enough to accept the added weight of top box ? Had a weak moment this morning and ordered the carbon rear hugger :D Andy

  3. Oh yes, I also picked up that the V4RS headers are full race headers as standard equipment. Unfortunately, I’ll put a pound to a pinch of **** they won’t fit the Granturismo engine :( Andy

  4. I wouldn't have thought it would take a top box, that's why there's no rear rack!

    • Agree Agree x 1
  5. Are they titanium headers? Bet they're not!

  6. If they are the ‘race’ headers, probably ? Might help to explain the (is it) £6k difference in price. Andy

  7. Yep, that's what I'm thinking. I guess as time goes on, more fine details will unfold, and it may not be quite the piss take we all think it is.

  8. Interesting that he says it’s not ideal for track use.

  9. He did caveat that with it was not ideal for that track, which was tight and twisty so he didn’t get out of 2nd and 3rd. Have to say, IMO, I got the impression from the shots of the rev counter during the test, he wasn’t giving it the beans. The reporters who rode the bike in Italy didn’t seem to have a problem. Andy

  10. Just watched the video, I didn’t hear any mention of the headers being race headers??

  11. That’s because it was from a conversation I had this morning :D Andy

  12. Ah ha!

  13. Ive noted there is already a warranty upgrade for this bike. Ducati realise they made a typo with the sticker kit and are providing a warranty clip FOC. The Multistrada v4RS, should actually read Multistrada V4 BS!

  14. Harsh!

  15. No from me.

If this was an SP, black, red accents and brushed ally tank like other Ducati's then yes. The RS is clearly taking aim at BMW's M line and it just makes me cringe, proper, stay away, pedophile fingers don't touch me.

Oh, not that I'm bitter as my PP is no longer king of the hill........ nope....... no sir

  16. Depends what criteria you are using to measure “king of the hill”. I still eagerly await the delivery of my Pikes Peak, happy in the knowledge the V4RS didn’t actually turn out all that special :D Andy

  17. Oh no, you will not be disappointed I promise you. Plus you also have more torque and as someone who had the Panigale V4 beforehand I don't miss it. In fact full throttle on the PP, to me at least, is far more engaging, as in shit your pants and pay attention.

There is a reason you aren't getting 200 bhp in that chassis, watch these guys:

  18. I was there that day and spent time on track with the knob in the flamingo leathers. Not impressed by his antics and lack of self discipline on track. Don’t doubt the performance capabilities of the Pikes Peak though. Andy
