  1. Nope.
    It’s an R.

  2. What makes you so sure?

  3. It's the teaser photo for the next release announcement..definitely a Multistrada and would appear to be at racetrack.

  8. Ok, so if it is the R, shall we guess what it’ll have & how much it’ll cost?

I reckon carbon wheels, loads of carbon everywhere, polished metal tank as per the Pani, a special Akra, Ohlins suspension & steering damper. Hopefully they’ll get rid of the horrible pannier mounts, as you’d be a complete muppet to put panniers on a full blown R model. Oh and 220bhp just to piss BMW off! Price will be around £35k.

  10. I’m going to struggle to keep my wallet in my pocket. However, I’ll say this, I always wondered why they didn’t lift the engine straight from the Panigale and just slot it into the MTS. Then a rode a Streetfighter and it all made sense. That engine wouldn’t suit the bike, at least not in my opinion.

I’d fail to see how they’d get significantly more power out of it too.

  11. That pic has handguards on it. I could see them including lever guards on a R, but not full blown handguards

  12. Maybe that’s an electric Multistrada in the picture, and those are power lines. :D

  13. Fit a dry clutch so you can use the new, super dooper Corse/Shell oil that releases an extra 20hp. Mind you, that means an oil change every 1500 miles :joy: Andy

  14. If they do bring an R model with that sort of power and that approx price I'd trade both my Multi and Pani for it!:motorcycleduc::motorcycleduc:.

  15. Yeah, I'm doing similar man maths in my head! The only thing holding me back (in my mind, as the thing hasn't even been announced) is that the Multi is THE bike for everything, so if the R model is loads more focussed, will you really want to stick luggage on it and go off for a long tour, or will it lose a lot of the comfort to be more of a track weapon???

  16. true for majority of owners but i never tour on mine. just love the riding position, power, comfort etc for hooning around. folks laugh when i unload a multi but even take it in a van with mates streetfighters to france and germany to hoon about. bring on an even more focussed bike

  17. That, in a nutshell. When I ordered my Pikes Peak, I discussed the possibility of the release of a more “focussed” Multistrada V4 next year and we came to the conclusion, it would not fit my needs. A decision I am absolutely comfortable with. FWIW, I don’t think you will see any performance revision of the Pikes Peak next year. Andy

  18. Fit a full Akra system and it will have more than enough power for the road and touring round Europe. Totally transforms the mid-range, you'll love it.
