Out of interest, if you have the low seat fixed in its highest setting and the standard seat fixed in its lowest setting what is the difference in seat height between the two?
I recently had my bike lowered with the Ducati lowering kit, shock and fork springs, and side stand. I have opted to go back to my stock seat in the lowest position on my bike. I like the body triangle better than the lower seat. I felt as if I was sitting 'in the bike' with the low seat and now I feel as if I'm 'on the bike' not on top of, but on the bike. I like it better, but of course, time will tell. I do like the lowered bike. Not tougher to put on the center stand, then before the lowering kit was installed I just put the bike in max preload when I want to do that. Seats are like handlebars, personal preference makes all of the difference. I carry an air wedge with me in the event I get a flat tire out on the road and need to put the bike on the center stand. I ride alone, so being self-sufficient is vital for me. Although the wedge won't raise the bike as high as if the rear tire wasn't flat, it is enough to allow me to hoist the bike up on the center stand. I can of course just roll the bike until I find the object that was penetrating the tire, but being able to use the center stand makes it easier. And if I'm parked on a downward-facing incline, using the air wedge under the tire to put the bike on the center stand makes things much easier. I realize this is off-topic, just relates to the lowering kit.
