I've never been so twitchy whilst owner a bike. When I had my 848 ( 4 years) o never wanted to swap until I tried a panigale. Now I bet I look at eBay every day for inspiration on what I like. I prefer middleweight bikes too which makes it harder. Keep looking at a 1098R but I'm not good enough to get its potential.
I understand that the f3 800 is a giant killer, basically same headline figure as the panigale ish but a much wider power curve making it pretty damn fast I'm told
Do MV have any major maintenance issues? Sorry for the boring question, but I have found Ducati to be reliable.
Tbf that wouldn't satisfy your requirement for looks though? ;-) We have a dealer opened up in Newbury now which is 10 miles and my mate is desecrate for us to test ride to boost his numbers so may go and try it
Speedycom Speedycom Performance Ltd at Chapel-en-le-frith are MV agents which is half an hour from Chesterfield. Yes my son has the 675 F3 and loves it, he came from a honda 600rr and says the fueling in traffic is just as good as the honda, the guy he bought it of says he had a software update which made a big difference. Rob hasn't done a lot of mileage on it yet but is over the moon with it particularly the quick shifter. Picture is when we first got it home. Steve Bins for @Ducbird
Is the chapel en frith dealer a prope dealer though? I got the impression it's a bloke in a shed type outfit?
I don't know as we havn't used them yet. Bloke in a shed is an understatement , they do some high end tuning from what I have been told, this month's Performance Bikes with all the Ducatis in also has an MV F3 featured and built by them. Steve

The MV looks beautiful from the side profile and imho better looking than the 899/1199,i am with Phill748 on the looks of the 1299 a backwards step by Ducati, but from the front the MV is butt ugly with that lump of snot running down its nose on par with the 959 endcans.I said it before my next bike will have a red trellis frame and the name will end in a R.
They've had their problems in the past but on the whole they're sorted now. Like ducati you need a good dealer that's local for piece of mind A hand made Italian bike with a pedigree - a bit like Ducati 20 years ago maybe You need to see them in the flesh and take one for a blast I won't be going back in a hurry - done 4K on the dragster with no issues Street fighter had a new hub and a couple of minor recalls in its first year under warranty
Yes bought the RR back last March - it's epic (do keep up ) Took it to Belgium , couple weekends in Wales and to the Manx TT last year - hope to get over to France again in the summer
Went to look at them this am, £12500 for the 800 is creeping up though when u consider its not got steering damper etc. It's just so small and light though, Jeez! It's just a little let down by a few things like the horn wiring catches on the head light wires (maybe not fitted right) and the cable clutch is just a bit cheap (I get though that it helps the weight etc). I also sat on the black one which isn't my fav but they have the red one as their demo. I don't wanna sound too negative, because the bike is beatiful, just think I still prefer my 899. It's little things like u bounce the suspension it just doesn't have the same nice feel as the Showa's on the 899. The proof though is in the riding definitely. Regards to the bars, would say they are a little more dropped downwards, more similar to the 848 Evo position.
they look better in person - i wasnt to sure about the red forks but they're ok - its such a fab bike to ride :circustent:
