  1. Yep, they're coolant hoses. If it as coolant it'd be a green/ blue colour. Don't think it'll be that. Sounds like polish residue or could it be some kind of releasing agent left over from the manufacturing process for plastics/ hoses.

have a look at your radiator from the front. Looking at the top right corner, if the vanes are damp then your rads split. Shouldn't be the case with a 2013 model at the manufacturing process was changed and the rads modded.

  2. Wen it dries, what colour does collant go? I remember a header tank splitting, and that had a white-ish chalky appearance when it had dried 'm sure, or similar

  3. Mine dried a greeney colour., but then again I caught it just as its was starting to go, before it failed completely.

  4. Ah. You might have hit the proverbial nail Bradders... on the recent bikesafe course I got stuck in a piss down and noticed a lot of white crap runing in littles rivulets over the roads. Could be that findning its way back out. Fairings off, deep clean, and a hose check to be sure.:upyeah:

  5. Good excuse to take the fairing off and learn how and give it a clean

Matt, was a long time ago and would guess it wuld depend on how much coolant v water was in there!!

  6. Asolutely!

  7. I had the exact residue on mine on the left too. Dealer couldn't track it down to hoses and it cleared up. I think k it was to do with wet running and it's since stopped so I expect a release agent of some sort...... Probably nothing to worry about but worth checking hoses just in case.

  8. Has to be said, when you think what these things cost, that they ought to just work, like a car, with no issues. I don't expect to have to tinker with my bike every five seconds. Well, OK, it's 7 now, so maybe a bit more tinkering, but not much. The car's 13 and I don't tinker with that. Isn't that the whole point of stumping up top dollar for services?

  9. Depends on what you are looking for and how picky you are Glidd. I mess with mine thru choice, have vey rarely had an issue which meant I had to do work, and mostly its been maintenance on my old race bikes. New bikes seem pucker
