html]http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af53/mr_chizel/WP_000602_zpsf68332c8.jpg[/IMG] That's all so far.. Dropping the bodywork to painters in Bristol on Monday, bout a 6 week turn around Im told and will order missing bits (so far) and hopefully do some more on her thurs... Still had no feed back on my bar end mirror idea.
Don't know the exact origin of the discs as they are on my 'bitsa' Monster, I believe they originated from an SS1000 but not sure? they are a common style though and seen on many different Ducati models. As for cutting the bobbins off, I tried drilling at first but that was a bastid job so I ground them off with a 4 1/2 grinder and 'soft' pad. I got the STM bobbins from PDQ Your one stop performance shop
Nice one mate will check em out for sure. probably be one of the last jobs I think as im skint!!!! and need to prioritise fairings/painting I think. Im ok with a grinder
dropped stuff to painters yesterday... along with my mates dad, Andre who's going in the paintwork....
Now I wait 4 - 6 weeks.. discussed paint scheme with painter for a good hour n a half (as well as how to spray Andre!) he's gunna send me a mock up soon(ish) will post on here for opinions.... which I'll be open to of course... scheme is, you guessed it, black and white! anyway few pics of old paint (which other than black and white is the only colour for a duke!!!!)
You could always put Andre into your curry so he could pass through your arse one more time. NO NO ,sorry strike that only joking . My bad . Hope the paint doesn't come out dead flat . NO NO sorry again .
That's in terrible taste peter.... he would have liked that.. bit weird yesterday sifting thru him with the painter but again, the cocksucker had a sense of humour... (for a French man)
Lucky for me you've also got a sense of humour, I was going to delete that as even I thought it was a bit stiff.
Thanks mate... Bit blinging for some maybe? but I've always like the black and polished idea, just looks clean and defined to me. Gunna introduce a bit more white in the paintwork (as well as Andre!) again because of the contrast
YES!!!!! Finally Took a day off to go to kent and work on scoot!!!!!! Put in clutch assembly piece of cake!!! Unlike taking it out at 8.30 last night...... Got my mate over to borrow his rattle gun for 5 mins to undo the big nut. The poor guy been on the road for 13 hrs and stopped in on the way to his next job. 5 mins turned into an hour While we struggled like fuck to get the clutch centre out.. Just slide out its says in manual... yea. Anyhu we got it. pics?
Found the pin that was missing from rear brake lever Fitted Oberon slave and new clutch line, clutch and brake masters (which as u can see I've ad done black), levers and grips (which will be upgraded soon) and swaped out a few bolts for stainless. And a bar end mirror
Fitted sidestand (to cheer up al as he's had to move it in and out every day on his tod for months now!) Missing the bloody spring now! its gotta come of to finish polishing as my dremmel packed up last night and the bracket got missed on the powder coating so I will paint it. Fitted throttle bodies and that's about it today I think.... Painter has finally started!!! and will be done n 2 weeks (ish) depending on my ideas!
