There used to be someone who lived near my parents with the plate PEN15. Quite why they thought that was a good idea I'll never know.

 

Was obviously a description not a nick name!

The weird thing was it was on a Volvo estate. There was a guy near my secondary school with the plate A1.it was on a beaten up old Ford Sierra! Must be worth a fortune if he's still got it..... It was (ahem) a while ago now though.

 

I'm in the final throws of purchasing a frame complete with a distinctive bike related plate.... Your point has certainly crossed my mind! :frown:
