That's what I'm trying to tell Mrs Rowley right now but she has rescinded permission. Got my eye on a genuine Fiat Rep.
Just out of interest Tom - why the change? Did you not rate the R6? I have a mate who has both R6 and R1 and he seems to prefer the R6, especially on track where it's much more nimble. Are you after more grunt / less thrashing? cheers, Dom
I did enjoy the R6, I still think it's a great bike. I want an R1 for the power and the ease of lower down use (relatively). Like I was advised when I first joined the forum I'm in charge of the throttle, and there is no reason to fear a litre bike. Buying low leads to wanting more in a short while. Buying bike and building up to it will maintain my satisfaction from the bike for longer. Plus the R1 is a mans bike and the R6 is for chicks ... allegedly.
I'll tell Andy you said that... :Angelic: Good luck with your search. The cross-plane crank R1 is certainly a beast... Not tried the earlier bikes myself - but have fun!
