  14. image.jpg Ordered a second set of stomp grips so I could redo the side I managed to mess up by having oil on my hands.
Fitted the second set of thin strips below the tank so will see if that helps improve the grip.

  15. Finally managed to get out for a ride to test the newly placed grips. I can definitely notice the extra grip with the extra set placed lower down as I'm shifting around but still sliding forward, so it looks like I'm going to bite the bullet and but the super pole seat. Best deal I've seen so far has been about £200 on eBay and from a Glasgow Ducati dealer.

  16. MR have the DP seat for sale on Eblag. Love mine. Miles better than the standard. I also found taking some of the preload out of the rear improved things too.

  17. I have fitted a superpole on my 1198s and I have to say has made the situation worse ball-banging wise - I am only 5' 7" though

  18. Super pole seat now fitted, it does make you feel a bit higher and flatter. Will give it a proper go tomorrow, so far it feels slippery on top but very clingy round the sides. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

  19. After a decent ride on the bike I can say it has made a big difference. I've stopped sliding forward but can still slide side to side. I think the big difference is that the front of the seat acts like an extension for the tank, so instead of just gripping the tank with your legs, your grip starts with the seat.
only downside is the slightly more pressure on your arms due to the raised position but other then than a great seat.
