Thanks Steve I got loads of mods on mine but the seat has ironed out a niggling problem, now I feel it's a perfect ride, the Race seat is the same but the same shape as standard, think they are neoprene n not suede like I just posted. Ooops.
They are the ducati performance rear sets from the catalogue, part n.o: 96451111B The pegs, rear brake & gear lever fold so if u do ever drop the bike they won't snap like most other rear sets.
If it's merely the slipperiness of the seat that bothers you then stick with it. It'll grip up. My 2014 1199 was slippery as feck but then began to grip up (took a few rides). They changed material in 2014. The upside is that I don't have to put up with the increased height of either the comfort or race seat (albeit it's only an inch or two at most in each case). I looked extensively into this including buying an 899 seat as it has a raised profile at the front and is better shaped than the 1199 albeit the covering was the same as mine. By the time I came to order an alternative the problem had disappeared without my noticing really. I say all this I guess just as you are about to hand over the cash..........
No I mean there are a couple of dark stealths left in the show rooms, no more pics of mine (ive been told now)
Ordered my 899 in red, dealer is gonna ring me tomorrow morning and let me know the delivery date. Got a couple extras Ducati alarm, seat cowl, tank pad, performance seat and having the wheels painted matte bronze. And my light tech lever arrived this morning. Can't wait to pick her up and get the run in miles and first service done.
