Nec Motorbike Show 2015

  1. Thought so.

  2. So is it worth £20 for a ticket or not? A mate asked if I want to go up Wednesday so be good to gauge opinion.

  3. Honestly.... If it's not close then no, last year was amazing, people were firing up the old 2 stroke gp bikes, u had the H2R being dyno'd, this year nothing, the Honda stand is the biggest and is shit, the Ducati stand was just a bit messy, the stand out for me was the Triumph stand, the Thruxton R was getting so much attention.

  4. did you not hear the rotary norton fired up

  5. No :-((( would have made the show for me that!!!

Also, I saw a desmocedici on the biketrac stand, completely standard, utterly stunning, drop dead achingly beautiful.... U get the picture

  6. You also missed Allun Milyard fire up his V10 Dodge Viper powered home made bike .......... several times. Andy

  7. The Thruxton R looks like the biz. Ducati surely peaked too early with its Sport Classics and now they are nowhere to be seen, sadly. They should revamp that range and reintroduce it.

  8. I agree, the Thruxton R looked really tasty. It stood out and I have to say the Triumph stand was good.

The new flat tracker Scrambler wasn't there but Pinnacle Insurance had a very nice custom one.

The new Multistrada Pikes Peak was there. Very nice bike. Multimoola as well though. I'd already seen it though. I was in Malaga on Monday so I went to Ducati Malaga which is right by the airport and there it was. Just 6 days after being announced, they had 'the 1st one in Spain' apparently. For £2k less than it sells for here! Still a lot more than an S though, but nice paint job.

  9. I went yesterday, and although I spent most of my time talking to journalists and taking measurements, I really didn't think it was all that great.

it actually felt smaller than the Xcel centre show... to me anyway

  10. Sounds like a decent way so spend a rainy Monday pal..

  18. Been today too. Got a few photos to post up later.

I actually quite like the Akra aftermarket can on the 959.

Strangely i also liked the X Diavel or whatever it is called.

Honda seems completely to have lost its way. they even had Honda cars taking up about a quarter of their stand.

The yellow R1 is really smart but the speedblocks are just stickers you can peel off.

Funny how Yamaha have the Motogp world champion but chose to put Rossis bike on their stand.

And Mvs with Spearmint Rhino girls sat on them is a win-win.:grinning:

  19. They sure look good from the back. Got a full side-on pic?
If the GP look is Akro's new style I approve.

  20. Was a struggle to get a full side on photo unfortunately. the design of the end of the can is the same as the Aprilia Motogp bike's Akra can.
