Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Freak, Nov 12, 2012.

  1. So Ducati are 1st to use KERS and they were 1st to use traction control in 2008

  2. vorsprung ducati technik...

  3. Yes indeedy

  4. Fujack I would take this Kers with a bit of distance. Ducati does not talk about it and only people that do are from about 6 months ago and all unofficial (gossip).

So far did not find one article about it that is new or one that points to Ducati source mentioning Kers.

  5. From what I read, the KERS thing was a wind up.

    No?

I'm still not sure what the R has that the Tricolore doesn't.

  6. I don't think KERS made it to the road bike, I read it was scheduled for the WSB bike

  7. I'm having that Hypermotard SP. Santa best be kind to me this year!!!

....failing that, if he doesn't deliver, does anyone know how much it will be?

  8. That's the million dollar question at the moment, official pricing to follow or maybe your local dealer will know.

  9. Sp is £11850 iirc. Crackin bike at first look.

  10. To be used in wsb it has to be in production

  11. Well at the moment no new mention of it anywhere just old material. Let's wait few days for tests to appear and press having a go if it is there they will cover it it's so new.

  12. I think you stand more chance of getting one if you're kind to Santa

  13. I don't think that even if I'm very "kind" to the big fella he's going to bring me an £11k bike......boo hoo :frown:

  14. You could try being "kind" to the little fella

ps. I am talking about me btw

  15. There's no KERS

  16. And also allowed in the rules....

  17. There's loads of Juan KERS about

  18. Ha ha. Tart! ;)

  19. You know me so well

  20. I'm defo having one - ordered already, and sold two today!!

The R has Titanium conrods, full 70mm system, lightened flywheel, adjustable swingarm pivot, different gearing and bodywork. The new rods have resulted in the rev ceiling being lifted from 11,500 to 12,000 rpm.

We saw graphs [in Milan] with over 200bhp shown although they [Ducati] went through them very quickly. There's also a Racer Pro exhaust header available that lifts the midrange a further 18bhp above 7,000rpm (below those revs power was quite negatively affected so it's a track only mod really)

Wait til you see it - it's proper tasty in the flesh!

Oh and I can't wait til I have a go on the Hypermotard Evo SP - that thing looks like a scream!

    Mart.
