  1. Totally agree, Ducati got it spot on.

  2. So you ordered one then

  3. Ah it's not a ugly bike, that's soooooo harsh

  4. It's the same crappy rule makers that say all new bicycles have to come with reflectors and a bell, but get removed straight away
I wonder what the insurance implications would be if you removed the 959 fork reflectors and got hit side on on a roundabout in the dark ?

  5. If you made it out alive I guess you could just say they must have pinged off, due to the force of the crash [emoji106]

  6. No way!!! Well happier with my 899

  7. Good thinking ;)

  8. But Phil have you rode the 959?

  9. Don't worry though, they will find the pipes, they will be things blocking the road.

  10. Nope, but I would guess the difference between them is similar to the pre2013/post 2013 Daytona 675 where it was a little better in every department but not worth putting a few thousand for me, I have only had mine since September, just had the rear shock rebuilt so am very happy to do a few years on the 899 and then get a 959 when mine is out of warranty if there is an exhaust option in the deal.

  11. Yeh I think unless you are loaded, the potential for the free exhaust offer could see some waiting.

  12. Honestly I'm not being a jealous 899 owner, just really love the skinny front of the 899 and how nice the 'fins' under the lights look, could look at it all day! Luckily it's also the most fun I've ever had on a bike!

  13. Tbh if I was coming from a monster or a jap 600 and was looking for a new bike I would have one no problems and if I had not done so much to my 899 and the figures were kind I would have considered one but would have swapped my Akras over, on paper its seems a great bike.

  14. you could think of them as side impact protection when pulling out of a T junction? Imagine the state of the car!

  15. Any night time reflective safety is likely to be offset against the daytime menace of motorists ramming into you thinking wtf are those pipes..

  16. I'd be very apprehensive coming back from Calais with a 959, those pipes are a target for immigrants to hide in.
    You have been warned!

  18. the 959 is faster round a racetrack than a Fireblade SP.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  19. I watched that video yesterday evening, impressive lap times (against the blade)!
