New Bike: Gsxr1000r (the Gixxer Thread)

Discussion in 'Other Bikes' started by Advikaz, Jun 7, 2020.

  1. You can’t grumble at these for the price and generally easy fitment. No brainer.

  2. I've had to make brackets for the belly pan as there were no lugs like on that fairing and I've got to piss about tomorrow to try and make some fixings for the side panels where the push fit lug is on the original.
They are fitted though but need to come off to fit the air tubes and tidy the wiring up.

  3. Looks tidy and it’s not too much hassle.

Now you stick it on the inside of Adz, and boot his road fairing as you go past....

  4. The seat is really high and I don't like it so I will be altering that.

  5. the crc stuff for the gsxr is known for it. I think that’s why most that race them use kingCarbons or profibre mate

  6. I used these, comes with a seat or use the standard one. Good quality as well

  7. Not sure if it was this thread that I was slating the CBR & said the Ducati boys on the grid wouldn't even look twice at it.

  9. I'd still rather take my 25k to Ducati for a track day weapon, obviously I'm no racer so it's different. All about looking good not actually going fast, I mean that would be silly wouldn't it.

  10. I seriously want the Honda. I did the second I heard about it.

    but not at 24k

  11. New Honda does look cool. They’ve finally upped their game. Not before time.
Just prepped and polished mine (And the V4S ) before Doocardi day at Donington on Tuesday. Hope the thunder and lightning and howling gales aren’t too bad... :D

  15. Wets? Fook that! I’ll just stand around jawing if it rains. Looks bloody warm so any shower should soon dry up :):upyeah:

  16. I like that plan!! See ya there.

  17. Cool. I’ll be in garage 22. Pop in for a nice cup of tea :):upyeah:

  18. My mate was trying to talk me into those but I'm impatient and just chose CRC because they were in stock. I'm not overly impressed with the fit to be honest they were a bit of a struggle.

I might end up buying a seat off them. :upyeah:

  19. Well that didn’t go according to plan. The bike was great at Donington today....me not so.
I decided to have a heart attack after the 3rd session and I’m now in Derby royal with two stents fitted.
