I'll put a pic up but it won't be until Sunday as I'm "working" tomorrow. Don't want anything for it if it's any use you can have it.
I will say though. That with some subtle mods. These bikes go from munter to stunner. the guys in the dealer were drooling over mine (and the bike) yesterday saying it looks so much better than stock with a few subtle bits.
Yours does look smart, best colours etc. My mate had a black one that was quite nice but a bit plain and as soon as it was dusty etc it looked really old
I don’t think they photo very well. the pics I took of mine yesterday sucked as hard as a might. But it looked really good to the eye (my eye atleast)
Stop it Advi, I'm trying to move away from sports bikes and have always been a secret gixxer fan. Ive had two gs750's, a gs1000e and a gsx1100 kat. I never got round to getting a gixxer and that's nagging me. Yours is lovely. Great value too. A do anything bike.
@Advikaz There you go mate if it's any good to you PM me your address. The LED indicators flashed a bit quicker than the standard ones but it never bothered me. A resister would sort it.
I had a K5 back in the day and it was a brilliant bike. But the fairings were made of paper I’m sure. Are they any better now?
Braking saga continued: changed out the stock pads this evening. Which I was amazed that after 1000 miles, most of which was on track still had a fair bit of meat left on them. I had a good look over them, I’m not surprised they’re not wearing (or any good at stopping) They’re about as abrasive as my toilet paper. They’re glazed to hell and back. I sanded a bit back to see what the virgin material was like, and it’s not exactly abrasive either. Built for a purpose I guess.. I guess the abs will not be helping here as it causes prolonged braking as the thing won’t stop and thus more heat. Chucked some cheap ish sintered sbs RST pads in for now. Interested to see how these behave with the abs still in place. the discs have actually cleaned up a bit. But you can see the stock pads have been struggling somewhat.
Yes mate. I can’t say the ones on mine are any better or worse than anything else I’ve owned. Ducati, bmw, Honda etc
Another day done. I don’t think a single session started as it ended weather wise. But it was excellent to be back on a bike regardless. big shout out to bridgestone s22’s as well. They were definitely the choice tyres for the day. Mine still don’t look like they have done anything !
