  1. Any cyclists that piss me off get a missed gear as i pass them in my 10 yr old diesel van leaving a big cloud of smoke to ride through.

  2. Careful in Spain. Cyclists get God status. And France and Italy. It's just the fat grumpy Brits that despise them....

  3. Cycling is fucking brilliant - keeps people healthy and reduces traffic volume. The MAMIL brigade unfortunately give all cyclists a bad name, a bit like Harley riders!

It’s a shame successive UK governments don’t like the idea of investing fuel duty to create some decent cycle paths/networks that keep cyclists safer and away from motor vehicles.... I would personally use my bike for getting about if that was the case, but as it’s not, I’ll stick to shredding mountains and hills for pleasure.

  5. Most cycle paths in this country are absolute junk and I personally avoid them if that’s the case.... Maybe we should ban filtering as that’s an unnecessary inconvenience/hazard to car drivers..

  6. Without paying toward the upkeep of the road.....;)

  7. Ah, allow me to explain. Whizzing past in your car, cycle paths do indeed look 'perfectly serviceable' But when you get on them on a bike they are strewn with litter, broken glass and fuck off hedgerow thorns. It's risky for punctures basically. And I'm sure you lot don't want to see some poor cyclist stranded on the side of the road fixing a puncture.... Do you now???:D

  10. They might not (though most do also have a taxable vehicle) pay toward the upkeep of the road but they ruduce NHS bills by keeping fit and healthy, well, until they’re knocked off by an ignorant driver who’s in such a rush they can’t wait an extra few seconds to pass with some space o_O

  11. If they paid road tax, we could make the passing places wider :upyeah:

  12. 99% also have a taxable vehicle. Maybe we should also tax pedestrians...

  13. What!...........again

  15. The fact some people think taxing the most healthy, accessible, sustainable and efficient way of travel is brilliant.

  16. Or collide with some hapless slower cyclist or pedestrian who gets in their way because the lycra brigade don't want the drag or weight they'd get from having a (legally required?) bell on their 10 kilo carbon fibre bike.

  17. It does not matter how efficent and healthy it is surely ? Lets just say all 37 million vehicles in the country were scrapped and we all rode around on those Victorian distractions, who would pay for the roads then ? So it seems fair that if you use the roads, the street lights, the traffic lights etc etc, why should you not chip in ??

  18. That's not fair!!

The lycra brigade shouldn't have to pay for traffic lights as they never use them...
