lmao, ACT I'll leave it that we simply have crossed wires. They say a picture speaks a thousand words, so this is what I am talking about:
side by side comparison of the two sets of seats. look at the distance from the front of the pillion seat and the side panel mounting screw.
I bought the sargent seat for my 2014 Looks great and no complaints from the mrs or me Thoroughly recommend
I've had alarmed bikes nicked and have come to the conclusion that a tracker with a movement alarm that automatically texts you if the bike is moved, after it's armed, is the best way to go. Cheaper insurance takes care of tracking costs. No one takes any notice of alarms - not in big cities anyway. I use Biketrac and have found them to be very good, calling me when I moved my bike with the tracker armed to make sure it hadn't been stolen.
Looks like the tank pad has disappeared from the show bike - or does that only feature on certain models?
It was certainly fitted on the red bike (standard bike?) I sat on at the show, but can't say I noticed if it was on the White S model or the red bike with the Enduro pack?
I liked them from the pics in the mags but they disappointed up close they because they seemed a bit space-age - especially the instrumentation - and from a distance they reminded me of Honda's Crosstourer. Sorry, Don't shot the messenger lads! Bet the engine is great though. I'll try to keep my 2013 Touring for distance stuff and invest in an Ariel Ace in streetfighter form for blasts to the coast. I'll be back here as Ace if it works out though because I'll finally have had to out the venerable ST!
Did any of you who went to the show look at the screen at all ? it looks to be far more upright than the earlier models. Just wondered if it really is, or whether that's just the pictures make it look that way. Two of my riding buddies have ordered new ones (both through snells)
The screen seemed to be the same angle. Perhaps slightly higher and wider at the top. Back to three bolt fixings.
Looks to be the same angle - however on all the NEC show bikes the angle increased halfway up so they have a sort of kink in the screen. Should throw the airflow up higher and maybe get it a bit quieter with less turbulence? We will see. Back to 3 bolt fixing but now the screen is on a more rigid sliding rod system in the centre at the bottom of the screen, felt more rigid to me.
Anyone tried one of these? Luimoto Seat Cover Ducati Panigale 1199 Team Italia DP Comfort SeatConquest Carbon I fancy one for my new Pannigale
