Will be 91st Anniversario by the time most of us get them! Oh well I'm sure it'll be worth the wait and least I get to enjoy my 959 for a little longer. Roll on the weekend :sunglasses:.
I had an e-mail from my dealer today. If you aren't first on the list then you are unlikely to hear anything until September. It seems that, during August when Ducati are on holiday, the Anniversario will still be marketed in other countries. If they haven't all been sold by September, they will start allocating them to UK dealers. I imagine, by that point, a great many people will have been pissed off waiting and asked for their deposits back.
I had one and regret selling it. It was an amazing bike, as smooth as silk and nice and torquey. It was 100% reliable and the dealer was amazing. I could get any part or accessory within days. It a real shame it isn't more popular, I loved it. If I don't get the Anniversario, I'd be very tempted by another.
I had one too. And it broke. And I had to wait 4 months for parts to be delivered. Great bikes ruined by appalling back up.
If I don't sell my 1198 do you think ducati would mind me painting it the same colour as the anniversario obviously with 1198 on the side??
The only issue I had in over four years of ownership was an ignition switch relay. The technician detected a fault picked up during a service when they plugged in the diagnostics kit. The relay at fault was replaced - the part arrived the next day. From my experience, I have nothing but praise for the bike and the dealer.
Me too. 22k miles without issue. The mirrors were considerably easier to remove and reinstall than those on my 1299 or 1098
Went to see my dealer this morning and he was very confident I'll have the bike early August! Only slight concern was that if it doesn't get shipped out by end of the month, then probably won't get it until September because factory is closed. He said he will have delivery confirmation 'imminently'. :smiley::smiley: Oh and whilst I was there they put a Kawasaki H2R on a dyno run...one word for it MENTAL!!!
I've been told today basically that i have no chance of getting one ( and I am second on the list in my dealer) I will leave deposit till around September time I recon just in case . But looks like I will not get one.
Push for loads of discount and akros off standard 1299S. I know a fella does paint jobs to match and then the evo software will be loaded to other bikes by xmas. All you are missing is the headstock number. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
As I mentioned in a previous post, this has descended into a farce and it's not what I expected from Ducati. Maybe it's time for me to reconsider my relationship with them. They aren't the only manufacturer !
Is that perhaps a bit harsh? Especially given the fact it's literally a paint job, a software update and a lithium battery (of and some small geometry tweeks). I'm not saying it's not lovely but can't understand why people don't go and buy a 1299s with akra's and get a paint job done for the same money Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
