Took delivery of my new crash hat today, I’ve gone back to Arai. Last one was an AGV which was good but I wanted a Schwantz replica this time. ( had a Doohan as my last Arai)
Thanks, it came with a daft diffuser to fit to the rear, that won’t be getting fitted. Need to fit the Pinlock and Cardo to it
I didn't fit the diffuser either. I've recently added, but not used yet, a Pro-shade visor, for spring and autumn days when the sun and clouds can't make up their minds.
How about a ceramic coating of some sort ? I did my lid with some McLaren spray on stuff, even did the visor with it. All smooth and shiny... Probably a YouTube vid about it online ....
Same here I went back to a Shoei - last one was a Shakey Byrne rep People at work don't seem to be able to get their heads around the idea of having more that 1 helmet - two cars is fine, but somehow 2 helmets does not compute - why do you want 2 helmets ! NXR 2 new earlier this year
I've always had Arai, over the years I've tried on many other makes, but I just feel most comfortable in an Arai. This was my new one in the summer...
I was going for a quantic for £399 but they’d just sold out when I was about to place the order so, as I’m a fan of Kev Schwantz this RX7 evo was on offer so I went for it. Not cheap tho
My lids were getting very tired, so I've just bought an HJC [i71] for the first time. Not ridden with it yet but on close inspection I'm very impressed with the quality.
