got the termi cans and up-map james defo smooths it out and sounds better, also got the R gearing sprocket up grade , go for it defo worth it, still not jap smooth but better, never had on dyno ,but you should go above 6k revs james the thing takes off at 8k [only joking]
I assumed the 4k to 5k flat spot on mine was effect of emissions / noise tests. Either way, it really is flat.
Aye. I made my choice with that in mind so mustn't grumble and think the bike's fantastic in any event. I never knew ducati discounted their bikes actually. Lord knows why I thought that.
Have termis up map etc, yes smooths a little. Will try that sprocket change when I need a new chain. I would say I have a few thousand miles on the old one yet, so it maybe next year, then they will have panigale II out, with all these fixes as standard... 2015 new r1 & new s1000rr, who said sports bike were dead.... As James wrote my bank account is on red alert already..
Yeah mines 39, I might be wrong but I'm sure a dealer told me newer ones come with 41. I'm going to upgrade mine when I get round to it, I can't just bring myself to be bummed for £200 at the moment.

Nah! I don't think there's going to be new model. It'll be bit like back in the 80's when Ford got carried away making Sierra's and Orions and then everyone went and bought an Escort. In order to shift them they made the 'Laser' models to make them more 'appealing', they were basically the same car with some tatty stripes that peel off the first time you wash them. I think all they'll do is revise the bike with things like black rearsets and detailing like they did with the 1198. I don't think there's a need to start flooding the market with the silverware just yet.
I have to say I don't think they will either, the 1098 ran for 3 years? only to be replaced by the 1198 which was pretty similar for another few years. I think that the 1199 will have...... - Standard Model will have lower spec display (maybe both will) - Standard Model will have the Showa BPF Forks as per the 899, seeing as they had 'issues' with forks on the 1199 - I personally think the 'S' model will have the Ohlins changed for 'automatic' suspension. - As BigM said, probably colour matched rear sets etc, maybe 2 new paint jobs and various detail touches that may save 1/2KG.
If history is anything to go by then a new model of Ducati superbike comes along about every six years. The only reason the 1198 replaced the 1098 after a couple of years was because of some WSB change of rules that I don't really understand, but essentially it still looked the same. So I think with that in mind it will give the people who have to have the latest now a good few years to save their pennies.
I never got close to 3k off when I sealed my deal about a month ago But I'm happy with the deal, And more importantly the dealer(Snells)
What a load of Bolloxs !!! The base model went up £250 in May Ffs So they are now £16250 I was in Jhp & they told me they can sell everyone they get !
£13350 , so £2900 off then. My best price was £13250 but that was miles away and the one I got was local.
You can buy a Prilly full fat factory for 16k. My mate just got a prilly rsv4 aprc for 10,995 new. Bargain. So much so my 1198 is under threat.
