I want heated grips, Termi and top box so I will need touring pack, sport pack and urban pack, which is going to be expensive I bet.
I've noticed that the accessories for the 2015 model have started appearing on the Ducati.com website, see the Multistrada page and search for 2015 year. The new Complete racing exhaust kit with titanium silencer looks interesting as appears to just plug in place of the cat and doesn't include new header pipes. I can't work out how to cut and paste the image but the words state: "The system ensures a considerable increase in the levels of torque and maximum power, thanks to the racing mapping that can be selected via the supplied up-map key; the db-killers can be extracted for a full sound." I assume that the exhaust included in the Sports Pack would be the End Silencer in type-approved carbon : "Ensures rich supply and a full sound, while keeping emission levels within legal requirements". The Ducati.co.uk Accessories page for Multistrada doesn't include prices however only the top case is displayed for a 2015 search, so far.
I spoke to Searstar my dealer yesterday and they've not heard, the also mentioned that Ducati did not win PP this year so that may influence a release ? I shall e-mail Ducati Italy and wait a response. any one else got any info please share ??????????
The panniers are shown (58 ltrs as before) as part of the touring pack. The top case and tank bag are in the urban pack.
Yes, and no... New bike not as pretty as previous model, spoke to another Multi owner when I was viewing and he agreed. Plus point would be better looking switchgear and a neat dash. That's it as far I could see though. Some parts, such as the hand guard/indicator looked 'cheap' on close inspection. Unless your desperate for another 10 bhp I just cant see the point. If 2013-2014 models have any sort of discount (?), save your money and spend it on beer and petrol
Not a close enough inspection to see the sticker that said the bikes are pre-production, apparently the switches are dummy ones and the handguards on the "S" are going to be alloy not the plastic on the show bikes
On first glance that looked to be an aluminium casting, then you prod it and discover it's just silver plastic, and just as flimsy as the old handguards.
Went to the show specifically to see the new Multi and the BMW, I wanted to like the XR but wasn't impressed when I sat on it, the seat edges cut into my thighs when putting my feet on the ground and the riding position seemed cramped compared to the Multi. I prefer the look of the new Multi though over mine, but whether I can justify the cost of changing is another matter ? Didn't think the show was worth the £10 to park and £20 to get in though.
Been today. Plus with the new Multi is the dash (on the S and above). It looks sweet and though no one would confirm for certain, it appears, on the surface at least, the panniers and the topbox from the current bikes may well fit the new one. The lowest seat setting felt rubbish to me and destroys the imposing feel you get from riding a Multi (and just felt plain wrong to me). The standard seat though was spot on.
yes but your obviously taller than diddly-bloody-squat like me! I'm going to the show on Friday (after visiting QB Carbon to discuss my 998's fairing on Thursday). I am very excited about the new Multi....because I'm a bloody short arse.... Will the optional lower seat have less padding? or will the frame actually be lower?...
I think the seat is adjustable so its the seat frame that moves not the amount of padding. I suspect most would be happy with the new standard seat. I could get my feet flat on the floor on that which i can't on my current Multi.
I asked in Milan, and they said that the old luggage wouldn't fit. Hopefully it will show better in the accessories list site where they show fitment possibilities. For me, I'm interested in a new MTS, but if I have to buy all the luggage again, it will push the price up so far I will just bite the bullet and go 1299 instead.
The topbox is identical. The only thing that might be different is the fixings. The panniers are different but the fixings looks the same on those.
