  2. There are a couple of free sites if ou google them that give you prices, Parkers may be one bu not sure if theirs is free these days

  3. Do it!!

  4. The thing I always think with a brand new model from a manufacturer is the teething problems. They all have them and you're lucky if you don't suffer any with a brand new model. You only have to flick through this forum to see the Panigale recalls.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the look of the Panigale. I've never ridden one and while a test ride to put that right is a possibility, I don't want to be tempted, oh the voices!

  5. No see the GSXR is relavent as is what char said ref her dyno`d bike, Im fact for all the slate (well not exactly, lest say banter lol) you all have proven my point;

Ducatibob currently owns a perfectly serviceable and usable 848.

He likes it very much, to the point he`d like a new fancy version. (dont take it the wrong way me calling it fancy)

However, by next summer there may be a brand new all sing all dancing bike out.

For the sake of one summers riding, and thats used loosely as English summers are crap, on a bike you love - why not suck it in for a bit....the corse se will still be there if you decide you dont want the new sparkly model but you may just fall in so much that you would give both testicles for it. If not or you need your balls too much to part with then get the SE.

Now I see this as unbiased and impartial advice. I reckon 99% of you would say something similar if your son/daughter asked your advice as its your offsprings money, but when its someone elses you dont know, who gives a fuck, right? Well TBH if he gets the 848se we all know he will love it and not regret it but that doesnt mean that he would of liked/wanted/bought the new one had he waited.

And on an open debate such as this there needs both sides of the coin represented....even if it is only mine that is structured rather than just "yeah get it"
Ohhhh how thats gonna kick things off haha

  6. at guess with out seeing condition, service record or miles id guess about 4k for a trade. dealers go by the book so it`l be plate and miles then condition

  7. I'm still confused about whether my handbag should match my shoes

  8. Most definitely unless you can link it in with another part of your outfit but the you need to make sure the shoes are not too bold or dissimilar to everything else or it will throw everything out and you`l look like you just threw everything on without any thought:smile:

  9. OK so Bob

There you have it - in a nutshell - proof that we're no help whatsoever - but I say stick with what you have and buy your girlfriend or wife a new handbag instead , unless your loaded - in which case you'd have bought the larger 1199 anyway and your wife will have more than her fair share of hand bags

    Case closed

  10. You will find the 848 EC SE completely different and will take a few rides to get used to its "focus"

  11. Do your collar and cuffs match?

  12. I personally agree that I would wait for a baby panigale rather than buy a corse se. The 848 you have now will ride pretty much the same anyway so why not save the cash and wait.

My 10 plate 848 isn't much different than a new corse (mine has ohlins , monoblocks etc) so I'm waiting for the baby pani. I'll prob try to keep my 848 too as I love that bike and its got all the right bits now.

However I wouldn't buy one until the little problems are sorted and I'd prob buy a used one too. So on that basis I have a couple of years to save up.

  13. It would depend on the type of collar/shirt and the occasion really.
Are you asking if mine do or do they have to? id hope the designers of shirt you have/intend to buy gave some thought into that one ha

  14. Think you may find reasoned argument in the thread other than that if you look with an open mind ;-)

  15. 849 in 2014, simples.

  16. I may upgrade from my 848 EC SE if its worth it.

  17. Not all women

I would rather matching set of leathers and bum bag
Oh and a helmet to match my bag

Thank god I don't have a wife or husband I can please myself :)
