New shape 848 / baby 1199?

Why yes of course, you know KTM have "ready to race" so as a Ducati it has to be "developed for the track" lol

I'm going to buy one... But I may wait for the S model if it's out before summer 2015 as that's the next season for me

 

I want one , but not instead of my 848. If the 848 has to go, I'd buy a 1199s. And a 916 to keep trellis alive

 

What's not to like?

It's a little Panigale, and OK, it's got a double sided swing arm!.... better handling?

It'll be fast (as fast as a liter bike from a couple of years ago), easy to ride (power modes, slipper clutch etc.) and looks stunning!

I'd like a go on one, bet it's a hoot!

 

Only 15 hp less than the 1199 too!!!

 

well it is a litre bike from a few years ago!!..............mid range bike my arse....

Be interesting if it handles better because of the swingarm

nah being "developed for the race track" it'll take the real racers to find out....

 

Those liveried Diavels aren't real police bikes. They're just bike safe 'show bikes' to get punters over for a chat. :biggrin:

 

Lots of people saying the 1199 is only making about 165hp, this is 150hp..

 

So the 899 will probably have 130-135 bhp that's not that far off a 1098

 

but you need to apply the same reality check that the 1199 is corrected to .......to this!

 

yes bluehawk but that's at the wheel the 899 figures will be at the crank you loose at least 10% ,more in the 1199 case
