Hi Simon, the painted ones are no longer available new but unpainted ones are, part number is 48031011A, it is a common part to the MY02 748, S and R as well as the 998 and 04 Matrix. Ok condition one here for around £200 with photos https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155570075897?hash=item2438b2f8f9:gicAAOSwqttkbMSu&amdata=enc:AQAIAAAA4CnBDft4aHD19AXusA0Jqoj81qyr2m1/Jbxe9eGQAv9yTynZFVSX85vCIj8eEjMTDnQ9akatSTBlv13FPxdXKEThdgdQIouFdU3jSGAu/w0X5G/6SeVGncpMlUxxPgSEGKBQHYQVq7b5TanRZjQILX8z9Yrqs3nVhE5qbaCn9w8asj/qkxizRaVhzJBekN4I5Yru1JVtIRahVW9AWVR/p4jbjrqqA6Q2ELSiehmSlML+KfPTdAPUKEMZrX/FKX5jcbS/m3C5C7D5LvLXdSlnfw6NxKViPsJGz42+ZAkvjHqz|tkp:BFBM0LrBm8Zi
Thank you sir unfortunately if you look closely this has holes at the bottom indicating to me it for the S models with the deep sump and separate belly pan. The standard 998 (mine) doesn't have the deep sump so this is not the correct part. You can actually still get this item shown from Ducati in the yellow they still have stock believe it or not. The part number you quoted is correct though but the item illustrated in the listing doesn't look correct. Thats the problem with most of these resellers they advertise these body parts fit 996, 998 etc in almost all cases when clearly they are completely different. Its strange that getting OEM 996 body work is so easy but 998 not so much. I assume because it was such a limited run. I did order the LH side lower and fitted it yesterday, I am reminded how thick and quality the old OEM body parts use to be. I sincerely appreciate people looking out for me though.
That might seem like a casual remark ...... but don't be mistaken ...... she's serious ! . I have to " 'fess up " here ...... it's possible that I exaggerated ..... a bit .
Not sure if these people have been mentioned, https://www.bursievolution.com/en/bodywork/fairings. Andy
