I've been running metzeler sportec m9 rr's on the 1260 and will get another pair as soon as the current ones are done. They are absolutely brilliant and VERY sticky
I had Metzeler M9 RR on the Monster and the GSX-S Amazing that YouTube vid of Michael Rutter spanking a stock GSX-R round the TT circuit on M7 tyres....no warmers ....
If you want to entertain yourself a bit, take a look at this article about radars in Spain, we already have 1,300 radars of all kinds installed, the normal thing is that if they are "fixed" and they don't stop you at the moment, I don't know, England, since they are already outside within the framework of the EU, if the authorities have a bilateral agreement to manage fines and they can reach you later, but if you are stopped, or have any mishap and in the study you are driving more than 50% of the maximum speed of the road, they will to arrest you and they are going to take you to a court, and you will have a speedy trial, and if there are injuries, my friend, you will not get rid of it in any way. https://solomoto.es/como-nos-cazan-los-radares-de-velocidad/
That is good that is - gracias ! In France I understand to keep the speed under 160 kmh ( where the limit is 130 kmh ) - because these is level 1. Above this - say 170 kmh in a 130 kmh zone is more serious with penalty points on the spot - having to walk home - that kind of thing. What is the scale of seriousness in Spain for pure speeding offences ? not talking crashes or injuries - purely speeding ? There must be a sliding scale where 01 kmh above is not so serious 310 kmh is very serious - there must be some scale of penalty for speeding ? I would be interested to know what that is. I was fined EUR 25 for crossing a solid white line once in Spain. I turned into a petrol station at the wrong end crossing the solid white - the broken white line was the other end. Right in front of Guarda Civil Traffico. He had a book with all the fines and he showed me - pay now EUR 25 or pay later EUR 50. But as a foreigner there was no option to pay later so it was EUR 25 on the spot. They were all right, all by the book.
Was that in the Picos? We got stopped coming out of a petrol station in Riano, but we pleaded ignorance and he let us off. Apparently we were supposed to exit at the back of the service station.
The Mirador del Corzo, one of the often visited by motorcyclists has warning signs for overhead mobile camera drones.
I wore out a PR5 Front on the Picos roads in 2018, had to get a new one in Pamplona, the rear just got me home and it was almost new when we left! Granite chips are VERY abrasive!
No, not the Picos but coming off a roundabout somewhere along the N260 that runs below the Pyrenees. The petrol station was on the opposite side of the road after a roundabout and I just quickly decided to pull in. It was almost exactly like that picture though - well done on getting them to let you off ! They were ok with me.
I put Metzeler M9rr’s on my Multistrada. Fantastic. Just yesterday I ordered another set for my Panigale from Deamon Tweaks. Good price from them but still a lot more expensive than pre Covid. if you’re not going off road get the M9’s. Everyone I’ve recommended them to has been well pleased.
I just put the Metzeler Sportec M9RR on my Multi yesterday. Too early to tell .. but looking forward to giving them a good test soon. - They look quite similar to the Roadtec Z8 Interact I have on my R9T.
Interesting re Metzler Sportec M99rr. Used the Roadtecs on my 1260 and they were excellent so will look at the Sportecs. Presume fine for touring and also the 19inch front wheel of the V4
