Hyside are my local dealer. I travelled 70 miles to another dealer to buy my new Multey. 'Nuff said! Good luck to those putting your faith in them
Hmmmm. Just went on Ducati's website in Germany (I'm from there originally) and ignoring the packages, it looks like they're over £2k cheaper over there! Will double check the small print tomorrow (taxes, on the road price etc) but unless I find any major issues, looks like it'd be worth importing the bike! Nice road trip back also Do any of you have any experience with that?
What are the issues? Service? Bike? Customer service? Price? Because my telephone dealings to date and VFM was better than anywhere else I tried These are 150 miles from me The first dealer that I ordered with changed delivery date from end June / early July to September a week after order - still waiting deposit back. Second dealer wanted £350 more to change that first dealer and he is local to me. Third dealer Hyside was £300 less than first dealer so £650 cheaper to change than local dealer thanks
I ordered one from Ducati am Ring - Willkommen bei Ducati am Ring last week and it arrives next week with them straight from Bologna. 19,000 Euros, White, Touring spec. That is under £14,000 VAT paid and ready to register in the UK. It will be on German 5 day plates to get it home then I register in the UK. Job done and saved £3000.
Wow that's a huge difference. Are you saying they'll ship it to the UK for you as well or will you pick it up? If the former, how much will they charge? And did they supply you with a certificate of conformity for import to the UK?
Either way would be great to hear about your experience. Those esavjngs would pay for a nice two week road trip!
They have a White Multi S there for sale now - its up on ebay - he did tell me there was a white one coming.
Hi I just took a 40 minute test ride at a Ducati roadshow Got the red DVT S Fast - not as fast my VFR 1200 - but that's to be expected Lots of induction raw when you open it up Super ride - comfy great Eros - seat was on low and I was tip toe but my inside leg is only 26 1/2" Bit of wind noise - would need wider screen - wide like me Great suspension - great Front brake lever had more travel than I am used to but no issue stopping Rear brake works ok - but again more travel than I woul like Clocks vibrate at around 2500 to 3000 rpm Slight numbness in right hand after maybe 25 minutes - guess little vibration on bars Definately no regrets in ordering one Then took out the scrambler - same route Obviously not as fast and more wind noise The bike is nice to ride But no where near multistrada level Seat is too hard Rear shock not good on bumps ok for normal but does not do well on potholes Would I own one - yes - would I pay 7000 to 8000 not sure - need to think on that one Was a fun ride - easily exceeds legal speed limits - faster than expected - throttle twitchy in slow traffic Nice morning despite the weather Thanks Ducati UK and Riders of Cardiff
Hi I purchased my 1200dvt from hyside and took delivery early May I've had several issues with the bike and each time I've had to return the bike they have been extremely helpful and good to deal with I would recommend hyside as a first class dealership and pleasurable to deal with I've done 4k on mine now
Well I decided to get the scrambler too - ordered the red Icon from Hyside - will have it on a 65 plate - as usual Andy and Ronnie were easy to deal with.
