Next Bike Then?

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by bradders, Oct 12, 2014.

  1. FJ1200 & some Derry boots

  2. Ideally an 1198 track/Sunday morning road bike and a Diavel for going to the shops.
Probably just a new pair of gloves.

  3. I went to Brightona today, and as you someone said so many good bikes to choose from now days

  4. I mostly ride alone and it needs to tick those boxes too: fast, agile, decent clearance. Got the track bike covered and not sure I can get three bikes past the gate keeper...I recently sold one

  5. i have recently got one of these, tail 006.jpg very good bike,
have you ridden one? its a bit tall ( i'm 5ft 8 ) but nothing like a multi.

  6. Its taller than a multi. Mate has one and standing still I can barely touch down. In fact quite a bit taller. Not sure the missus will be able to spend long on the back of that either, eh ;)

  7. Gladius :Angelic:

  8. Is it that much taller or the seat broader? That makes a big difference.

  9. What about a K1300s. Proper quick, sporty(ish) and should be OK for a pillion. Long and low so both feet down and a swanky single sided arm too.

Or the poor man's version......Triumph Sprint? Great engine (probably great for pillion too as so smooth), single sider and with a few quid spent on shocks and forks I expect they handle pretty well too. Maxton did great thinks for my Speed Triple.

  13. Pillion on the rack...sounds like one of Char's special evenings ;)

When I said R1300 I meant K1300, although the sales guy at Bahnstormer suggested its not great for pillions

  14. Quite like the idea of an ST

  15. Probably wants to sell you a GS

  16. Me too. Not the sharpest scalpel out there but the engines a cracker and the seats lower than the Speed Trip too. I can imagine it makes covering distance great fun. Should be able to get a decent one for about £3,500/£4k I expect

  17. He did with low seat and low suspension. Been there done that

  18. Maybe thats the answer, chuck the multi back, take the hit on no equity then go buy something cheaper for now...tbh thi I really love the adaptive suspension...maybe I should try a Gs..

  19. not really solving the problem though is it.
