  1. more usable 6th gear would help me. I am lazy.

  2. I like the tall 6th for the motorway, it is relaxing. The rest of the time stay in 4th or 5th and you can be lazy in not having to change gear as much! I don't understand why a gear has to be used just because its there.

Or change the sprocket as some do - job done.

  3. but I like the 170mph top end... :upyeah:

  4. I doubt you would when actually sat at that speed on a Multi though.

  5. More BHP you must be joking. Call me an old fart but 150 is plenty for the style of bike. If you want more then you need a sports bike. I would look at the gear ratios, and make 2 gear easier in town, and add cruise control for those times you have to use motorways. I nearly forgot, alter the bloody belly pans so you do not have to take the centre stand off to change oil. Come on Ducati thats just stupid. Ducati some of us have bigger feet than size 6, so please make the centre stand so it does not foul your feet. I spend £12.8 K and have to take the centre stand off to get it altered. However these are all tweaks, overall Ducati have made a darn good bike. I love it !!

  6. One thing for sure, is that we soon will see something special regarding passive safety, delivered with the Multistrada

  7. Please explain - you just lost me?

  8. Maybe he's referring to the latest ABS thats fitted to the KTM Adventure. ABS whilst cornering. Very impressive. You can image a situation when hurtling around your favourite corner with a good lean on, you need to stop fast and stay on your side of the road, panic, go for full ABS braking and you do not crash. I for one hope this bit of tech will come to Ducati. Who makes this amazing system Bosch.

  9. No, that on the KTM is an active safety system..

  10. Seatbelts

  11. Three wheels

  12. Ejector seat

  13. Is it like passive smoking? If you park your bike next to a Multistrada it turns red and the dash mists up. Thus rendering the bike un rideable; therefore making it very very safe for you!!

  14. Considering the new and very sexy Monster 1200 has a colour TFT dash I reckon the next model Multi will have the same. Curious to also note the new Monster has a gearing of 15 and 41. I wonder if the Monster rear sprocket will fit the Multi......

  15. I think there going to use the same manufacture as the exhaust for the braking system, it will jam the brakes on after 2 months so it will only go 70, they have figured out we all know how to stop the exhaust valve slowing us down.

  16. Understand your concern. Just waiting for a Pani based Streetfighter that`ll get me VERY depressed.

  17. How about upgrading the clocks to a colour touchscreen with integrated sat nav.

  18. Funny you say that,my dealer tells me colour display with integrated satav is on it's way, just not sure when.

  19. Integrated satnav and a better display is pretty clear and while production costs would be probably minimal difference, I'd bet it's a £1000 option and ultimately will be required for good resale, same as cars. I think more seat adjustment would also help, the BMW GS allows lots of seat changes, height, angle and fore/aft - that would be simple to implement and useful.
