Admittedly I would if I had three wheels and was the driver this time..............but I'm shite on two (although I did put some fast times up against Foggy on a test day back in the early 90s)... Money taken, but not on the Snett website? I would be asking questions. I think I will come up on the Sunday..........at least I know someone will be there....
Booked. Both days. First time on track with that lot ^^^ since the good old DSC proper trackdays of old
All this lot have done twice the track time I have so exoect all in the fast group ;-) another mate Clint looking at booking too
The circuit manager at Snetterton has just confirmed the 19th is OK and the Snett website will be updated to reflect this. AL
i could be up for this too..........just trying to sort out the days.........be good to follow a proper racer around
Doing Snetterton 300 on Sun 28/7 with No Limits...doh, on holidays on 18/8 ! Anybody doing this date?
I didn't think Al is coming Andy ;-) I am teaching myself to carry less corner speed and brake harder and later into a corner now, then square it off and gas it so should be interesting and thunk bringing some spares may be an idea
Of course I'm coming.......... ........But nobody would want to follow the lines an outfit takes.................especially not ours. Even I wondered sometimes WTF we were doing over that side of the track.
I have just booked. Novice group Sunday then fast group Monday. I hopefully will have a bit knowledge of the circuit by Monday morning so I though fuck it, in for as penny in for a pound fast group.
We won several trophies for 1sts and 2nds; plus numerous 3rd, 4th,& 5th placings (and loads of DNFs).........never got a trophy at Brands, though. But we must have been doing something right..... AL
If I'm in fast sure you will be reet ;-) Like I say proper racer; any part of the track is acceptable when overtaking, even the rubbles, grass or little bits of tarmac just past the grass...
Cheers Bradders. It will be good if someone can show me some lines. I'd love to max the bike out on the back straight too.
Don't mention the grass to me......Pembrey, wet track, hit that nasty little hollow on the inside of Woodlands at high speed.........aquaplaned as far as Honda....... .....went off onto the grass and the b*****d thing sped up........eased back towards the track and the wheels caught the edge of the track which was a bit higher than the grass...... ......and it flipped over onto the track upside down.........just as well I had good leathers because I didn't let go until driver had got out......his leathers were ripped off the shoulder..........I got away with a bruised elbow and a scratched helmet....... Repaired the damaged outfit, missing two races, then went out and got a third in last race of the day. Next day, got two seconds. AL
Sounds like a plan - will have to hold off on the dirt bike day now, get some crash bobbins and get the acrylic fairings drilled, fettled and fitted. Any recommendation on crash bobbins?
